Do not settle

  • by

Was reading this book called The Rational Male – Positive Masculinity and found a really good reminder in the book for myself.

Then I thought of you. So I put down the book, got on my desk and started writing this post for you (see I really do think about you all the time, no one could stop me once I started reading, but I stopped for you)

Here’s the reminder:

You will only get what you’ve gotten if you keep doing what you’ve done before.

This applies to relationships, marriage, work, and basically everything in life.

It’s too easy to feel like you have reached a certain “stable stage” and settle and stop doing what you used to do, getting you to that “stable stage” at first place.

Like people getting in the marriage, over time they are no longer treating their spouse with the same level of love they used to. They take things for granted. That’s one of the biggest reason why people divorce.

Or people getting to a certain position in job, over time they started to settle and work less hard, and one morning they got a letter saying they are fired.

Wonder how that happened?

You will only get what you’ve gotten if you keep doing what you’ve done before.

Anyways. You’ve got this, meanwhile I’ve got to sleep. It is 00:15 now.

With LOVE,
