The Only Car You are Getting (Read This)

  • by

Not sure if this is the first post you read on my blog or the 50th one, but I just want to come up and share this with you. This is something I learnt from Warren Buffet himself and I figured that it will be of immense value for you as well:

Here’s the deal.

Let’s say you met Warren Buffet the other day and he offered to buy you the car of your dreams. You can pick out any car that you want, and then when you get off from work that evening, that car will be waiting for you at home.

There is however, one catch in this offer from Warren: This car is the only car you’re ever going to get… in your entire life.

Now, knowing that, how are you going to treat that car?

You are probably going to read the owner’s manual four times before you drive it; you’re going to keep it in the garage, protect it at all times, change the oil twice as often as necessary,.

If there’s the least little bit of rust, you’re going to get that fixed immediately so it doesn’t spread — because you know it has to last you as long as you live.

Look.

The position you are in with your car is exactly the position you are in concerning your mind and body.

The way you treat that car, should be no different than the way you treat your body.

>> You only have one mind and one body for the rest of your life. If you are not taking care of them when you are young, it is like leaving that car out in hailstorms and letting rust eat away at it. If you don’t take care of your mind and body now, by the time you are in your 40s or 50s, you will be like a car that can’t go anywhere.

That could be the end of this blog but you know what I always do here. I always overdeliver. So, let’s keep this going, shall we?

In life, people take care of their physical possessions, protecting them from others, but often time, many people let others dictate what’s on their mind and worse, let people trouble them. Yes, this might sound ridiculous to some but what this means is, many people let negative feelings get into their minds and ruin their day or even a few months of their life.

Look.

Things happen. But how you respond to things is entirely up to you. Everything on this Planet is neutral. They don’t come with any negative or positive meanings.

It is how you view it gives it the meaning.

Back to the story Warren told us: Take care of you mind. This is the mind that is going to be with you for your entire life.

Start seeing things as what they are, today.

Protect your mind. Protect your headspace.

You don’t have to let people control how you feel. You can feel great on your own, with or without others, regardless of what has happened.

Your life is a result of the choices you made.

That is it from me today.

Take care and fly.

Ryan
